Solid Sterling Silver Ganesh Flying Pendant
Origin: Bali
Solid Sterling Silver Pendant.
Ganesh is the god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles.
Ganesh is one of the sons of Shiva. He is prevalent in India and is visible in countless paintings and drawings.
He is called upon at the start of things in life, a new marriage, a new job, a new day. He is the destroyer of vanity, selfishness, and pride.
He is the Lord of Success. This is most evident in his appearance.
He rides not a noble steed, but a mouse. This shows humility.
His head is that of an elephant, and his belly is huge. This shows no vanity.
His ears are fanned out to be able to hear and listen.
He holds in his hands a goad, a broken tusk, a noose, and a rosary. These represent removing obstacles, self-sacrifice, capturing difficulties, and the constant pursuit of knowledge, respectively.
This Ganesh pendant is highly detailed on the front, and instead of a clasp at the top of his head, the necklace is run through behind two of his arms. This makes this pendant ideal for active wearers, or to wear on a choker style necklace, or even on a bracelet.
Pendant comes gift boxed, and measures approximately 0.5" wide by 0.75" tall.
